What is Operation CPA?
The Ohio Society recognizes the sacrifice being made by Ohio reservists and Guard members, which is why we have partnered with the Ohio National Guard to offer Operation CPA, a volunteer-based program that matches CPAs with local military families in need of tax preparation assistance.
Now in its fourth year, more than 200 military families have received tax preparation assistance from Ohio Society volunteers. CPAs to prepare tax returns free of charge for Ohio's deployed troops Operation CPA eases the burden on military families during tax season Military families have enough worries, especially when a family member is away on active duty. To ease the burden of tax preparation for those left at home, The Ohio Society of CPAs will once again launch Operation CPA for deployed military families.
From January through April, certified public accountants throughout Ohio will prepare 2008 tax returns free of charge for military personnel who are permanent residents of Ohio and currently deployed outside of the state.
Operation CPA is a partnership with the Ohio National Guard. "The Ohio Society of CPAs offers this much-needed service each year to support the men and women who are serving our country," said J. Clarke Price, president and CEO of The Ohio Society. "CPAs volunteer their time to prepare tax returns so that families who are missing a loved one have one less thing to worry about."
